Stories of Hope: Ms. Ayueek

EMPOWERED TO EMPOWER

At the Undying Hope Organization, we firmly believe that investing in education creates lasting change not only for individuals but also for entire communities. The journey of Ms. Ayueek exemplifies this belief in action.

Undying Hope met Ms. Ayueek, a determined student full of potential but facing financial constraints when she was in her fourth semester at the University of Juba, South Sudan. The Undying Hope scholarship awarded to her enabled her to pursue and complete her B.A. in Business Administration by allowing her to focus fully on her studies and personal development, rather than worry constantly about tuition.

Before graduating, Ayueek showed a strong commitment to service and leadership. She volunteered as a teacher at a secondary school, where she taught Principles of Accounts. Through this role, she shared her knowledge and helped young learners build a solid foundation in financial literacy and education as a whole. Ayueek’s ability to balance her teaching responsibilities with academic demands was a testament to her discipline, resilience, and passion for empowering others through education.

With perseverance and determination, Ms. Ayueek successfully graduated in early 2025 and transitioned into the professional world. Today, she is a practicing accountant and serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a local organization in South Sudan. In this role, she provides strategic financial oversight, promotes transparency and accountability, and contributes to the long-term sustainability of the organization she works for.

Seeing Ayueek thrive as a professional and a financial leader reinforces the importance of our scholarship program. The UHI scholarship helped unlock her potential, and her success now extends far beyond graduation. It strengthens institutions, supports families, and inspires young people, especially women, to pursue careers in business and finance.

By supporting students like Ayueek, we are not only enabling access to higher education but also helping to develop capable professionals and future leaders who are making meaningful contributions to the development of South Sudan and beyond.
