Teachers shape a nation
In August and September 2024, Undying Hope trained more than 100 primary and secondary teachers in Wau and Aweil.
More than 100 teachers in Wau and Aweil
In August and September 2024 we held two workshops, in Western Bahr el Ghazal and Northern Bahr el Ghazal. The D.C. Rotary Club and partner Rotary clubs sponsored the trainings. In July 2024 we named Wau, set for 5 August 2024, and Aweil as the two host cities, with the Wau Rotary Club and the Ministry of Education taking part.
Much of a child’s waking time is spent with teachers. Training is one way to make that influence a good one.

We trained more than 100 primary and secondary teachers in those two workshops. From 2021 through 2026, Undying Hope trained 158 teachers in all. Dr. Charles M. Balch has also offered to support teacher training in 2027.
